Lessons not learned

That would be Scott Turow, the influential lawyer-novelist and his new novel, “The Last Trial,” steeped in elegy, chronicling the life and career of his beloved trial lawyer Sandy Stern, now 85 years old, against the backdrop of his last trial. Stern’s great love is his life in the law, his role in the legal process. As lawyers, we might make different choices.
