Attorney claims State Bar bias for rescinding job offer

Fredericka L. McGee's attorney, Pamela Y. Price, said Tuesday that the claim arises from unorthodox and disappointing conduct from the bar.

A former legislative attorney filed a $2.9 million claim alleging the State Bar's decision to rescind an offer to be the agency's executive director was racially motivated. The bar disagrees that racial bias was involved, said a spokeswoman.
