There is an ongoing national awakening of the need to examine our institutions and practices for race inequity that is not readily apparent. For example, Business and Professions Code Section 6070.5 now states that as of Jan. 1, 2022, the State Bar of California shall adopt regulations to require mandatory continuing legal education to include training on implicit bias. The military is also undergoing scrutiny for racism and implicit bias. Maybe a better way to say it...
