Tax Board seeks $5.3M from Girardi

The total amount attorney Thomas V. Girardi owes to the board includes $3,860,968 in taxes, $622,653 in penalties, and $889,423 in interest, said court documents filed Monday.

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking to collect $5.3 million in personal income tax, penalties and interest from plaintiffs' attorney Thomas V. Girardi, who failed to pay balances due in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2019, according to court documents filed Monday.

The amount Girardi owes to the board includes $3,860,968 in taxes, $622,653 in penalties, and $889,423 in interest, the documents said.
