High court seeks US brief on California trucking labor laws

The court will consider a review by the California Trucking Association of a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision that state owner-operator truck drivers are employees, ruling that Assembly Bill 5 is not preempted by the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act.
