Setup criticized for committee to oversee judicial watchdog

“Advocates are not even able to find out exactly who is on the [committee],” said Marivic Mabanag, CEO of Advocates for Child Empowerment and Safety. “We need a better window into these proceedings.”

A new entity created last year to oversee the Commission on Judicial Performance is coming together. But some who pushed for the committee say the process has not been as fast or as transparent as they would like.
