PG&E sued over almost contained Mosquito Fire
Plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed by Singleton Schreiber LLP include people who lived or owned property in the area of the blaze, which has burned some 76,780 acres, destroyed 78 buildings and damaged 13 since igniting on Sept. 6.




People claiming harm from the Mosquito Fire in El Dorado and Placer counties sued Pacific Gas and Electric Co. claiming that the company’s poorly maintained infrastructure caused the wildfire.
In an email on Friday, PG&E representative Lynsey Paulo said CAL FIRE and the U.S. Forest Service have yet to determine the cause of the fire, which was 60% contained by Friday.
