Disgraced FBI agent wants 18 months for taking bribes

Prosecutors asked a judge to sentence Babak Broumand to 11 years. He was convicted of accepting a $10,000 monthly fee, a Ducati motorcycle, and escorts from suspended attorney Edgar Sargsyan.

A former FBI agent, convicted last year of accepting bribes from a Beverly Hills attorney in exchange for top-secret intelligence, has suggested to a federal judge that 18 months in prison is fair punishment for his crimes. The government, on the other hand, wants former FBI agent Babak Broumand to spend 11 years in prison.
