Dow and Shell settle claims over contaminated water at Dole Atwater plant
A federal judge in Los Angeles dismissed a lawsuit by Dole Packaged Foods LLC against Dow Chemical Co. and Shell USA Inc. after they reached a settlement of claims that the defendants contaminated the drinking water at Dole’s Atwater plant with the chemical 1,2,3-trichloroproane, known as TCP.
