Judge won’t let Tesla compel arbitration of employee suit

Superior Court Judge Frank Roesch wrote that enforcing the arbitration agreement would be “substantively and procedurally unconscionable.”

Tesla Inc.’s attempt to compel arbitration in a race and religious discrimination lawsuit by a former employee was thwarted Wednesday after an Alameda County judge ruled that doing so would “condone an illegal scheme.”
