Voters beware: robocalls, spoofing, and AI fuel political dirty tricks

Regulators and legislators missed the opportunity to require warnings on AI-generated deepfake campaign messages--a mistake unlikely to be corrected anytime soon.

After a protracted fight, in 1994 the food industry was finally required to include labels on food listing the amount of fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, and protein, as well as some vitamins.
