Brewers owner cited by Coastal Commission

The Coastal Commission's letter to Mark Attanasio came a month after his billionaire neighbor filed a lawsuit accusing him of stealing sand from Malibu's famous Broad Beach.

The California Coastal Commission issued a notice of violation to the owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, Mark Attanasio, who is accused of setting up an excavator on a contested stretch of beach behind his property in Malibu and taking sand for a personal project without authorization.
