After Gerald convinced manufacturers to produce big and tall sizes, The Store began attracting professional athletes and it thrived. However, a poignant encounter with a grieving mother made Myron Moskovitz reconsider his path in the clothing business and contemplate pursuing law school instead.

After Gerald persuaded the manufacturers of high-quality clothes - suits, cashmere cardigans, etc. - to make big and tall sizes, we started to get some good publicity. And we got the jocks: pro football and basketball players - both 49'ers and Warriors, plus their opponents who flew in from around the country.
