Eydith ("Eydie") Kaufman is a caring, down-to-Earth and tenacious mediator who has nearly three decades of civil litigation experience. As an experienced mediator with strong settlement rates, Ms. Kaufman comes prepared, listens carefully, tries to minimize the stress levels of the parties, and works hard to guide the parties past impasses and insults towards a reasonable resolution. With years of experience working at high volume trial firms, Ms. Kaufman understands the unique stresses, risks and costs that are involved in continuing litigation and takes pride in helping people resolve difficult disputes. Even when parties are unable to reach a resolution, mediation helps the parties learn more about their case, often leading to a post-mediation settlement or a more efficient trial.

As a top neutral in 2025 for Alternative Resolution Centers, Ms. Kaufman handles private mediation and also gives back to the community by volunteering numerous hours of mediation time to help others. Ms. Kaufman understands that everyone has busy schedules and strives to provide the parties with the most productive and efficient mediation possible. With a background in medical malpractice, she excels at medical causation issues that can make or break a case.

Ms. Kaufman has taught Insurance Law at University of San Diego as an Adjunct Professor, and has written articles and lectured on mediation topics. She has been featured as a lecturer in the Beverly Hills Bar Association's online mediation training on Empathy in Mediation, and most recently, spoke on a podcast, Turning Conflict into Collaboration. She is an avid music lover, who plays guitar and dabbles in drumming.
