SAN DIEGO - Like many new bench officers, Superior Court Judge Pamela M. Parker could have rotated out of family law after three years but decided not to.

"I felt like I finally was getting actually pretty good at it, and I thought, 'Why would I leave now that I feel like I'm comfortable with it and the attorneys are getting comfortable with me, and they know me better?'" she explained.
