VISTA - When Judge Pennie K. McLaughlin was elevated to the bench in 2022, following 18 years as a court commissioner, her first 41/2 months were an enriching whirlwind. She navigated a range of assignments, from preliminary hearings and probation revocation calendars to handling mental health conservatorships.
