Confirmed as presiding justice, May 2022, appointed to the Court of Appeal by Gov. Jerry Brown in July 2018. Served on the Los Angeles County Superior Court 2006-2018. Clerked for Judge Harry Pregerson, then of the Central District of California, from 1979 to 1981. She went on to spend a decade at two firms before serving as the Federal Defender for the Central District from 1993 to 2006.
