Signature Resolution

Aug. 29, 2025

Jonathan E. Karesh joined Signature Resolution as a neutral in San Mateo County.

Appointed by Gov. Gray Davis in 2001, Judge Karesh handled personal injury, construction defect and conservatorship cases. As Civil Law and Motion Judge in 2016, he managed summary judgments, discovery disputes and complex pretrial motions. The San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association named him Judge of the Year in 2018. As presiding judge from 2019-2023, Karesh led the court through COVID-19, resuming jury trials within six months using temporary courtrooms at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds--an innovation recognized statewide.
