SAN FRANCISCO - During a mock oral argument one day, 1st District Court of Appeal Justice Mark B. Simons gave one of the lawyers a hard time for wanting to use an overhead projector to illustrate her case. Unlike trial court, generally no new evidence is allowed on appeal.
